Vadu Izei is a small village situated in the heart of Maramures county. Here it seems that the time is stopped, the people are still wearing the traditional costum, and the major vechicle is the horsed cart. Maramures county is a place where the old traditions is still alive and Vadu Izei is a small part of it, where you can met the heritage of Maramures.
If you are in Vadu Izei, make time to visit the nearby villages, the wodden churches, the Cheerful Cemetery from Sapinta, to listen and to see the traditional music and folk dance, or to wander all over the mountains.
