Sangeorz-Bai is a watering and climatic resort in the Southern part of Rodna, appears for the first time in documents as SANCT GURGH in 1245. The resort is well known for its mineral waters rich in bicarbonate, calcium, magnesium, chlor-sodium, which are reccomanded in the treatment of gastritis, ulcer, liver-diseases. The landscape is enchanting and the surrondings are full of charm.
The mineral water from Sangeorz bai, are well known in Europe, too, and they are put on the same place like the famous water from Karlovy Vari (Czech Republic) and the waters from Vichy Chomel (France). These waters are the most rich waters in calcium fro the east and south of Europe.
