This town lies 35 km away from Suceava, on Moldova River, between the afforested heels of Obcina Mare, Obcina Voronet and Obcina Humor.
Was mentioned for the first time in documents as far back as Stefan the Great’s reign. The Etnographic Museum presents a rich collection of items that reveal the diversity of the household occupations and the popular costumes belonging to the people from the basins of the rivers Dorna and Humor, as well as from Campulung.

Vorone? Monastery, it lies 4 km away from Gura Humorului and it was one of Stefan the Great’s foundations (1488). Is possibly the most famous church of Romania. It is known throughout the world for its exterior frescoes of bright and intense colours.
The monastery of Humor is up the Humor River, near the town of Gura Humorului.
The characteristic element of the monastery is the open hallway. The external painting is important, because it presents "The Siege of Conastantinopol".
